With the new rise of the far-right and nationalism - accompanied by the usual plagues of stupidity, meanness and hate - there's been extra pressure on the Skeptic community for the simple reason that those who advocate insane therapies like homeopathy or prayer for cancer are often right in there with the white supremacists and neo-Nazis.
Oh, and the religious extremists of all confessions. And the climate-change deniers. And the anti-vaccine plague-rats.
All this was starting to overload Skeptics Amalgamated. It's hard enough stomping on quackery without dealing with corruption, racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, wilful stupidity and greed... not infrequently all sharing the same excuse for a brain.
This politics-only site was created to take the pressure off. Some of the content will be original, some will be reblogged. There will also be a fair number of RSS feeds you can consult for further reading.
